Capcom has Shipped 4 Million Resident Evil 2 Remake Copies

Resident Evil 2 4 Million

Capcom has announced in a tweet that the total shipped copies for Resident Evil 2 Remake has exceeded 4 million copies worldwide. Resident Evil 2 Remake has done very well since its launch and during its first launch weekend, it managed to climb to the first spot in UK physical sales chart.

It has been around a month since Resident Evil 2 Remake was released and its sales figures are very impressive. After just a week of its release, Resident Evil 2 Remake shipped units were 3 million units. You should keep in mind here that these are units shipped by Capcom, not actually sold to the consumer.

The actual units sold to the consumer physically are still less but still managing to ship out 4 million copies show that the demand is still pretty high for the game. Not everyone plays horror games as well so managing to rack up these numbers after just a month of its release are pretty impressive still.

Along with the announcement, Capcom also released a short video which is essentially a roundtable with Resident Evil 2 Remake developers chatting and discussing the success of the game with each other. Over the food, they also discuss all the challenges and hardships they had to endure to deliver the final product that we now have.

Check out the tweet and the roundtable video below.

Capcom has done a splendid job on the Resident Evil 2 Remake and we absolutely love the game. Even post-release, Capcom is still churning out free content for the game as they recently released Ghost Survivors DLC which was free for all players and included three short stories about three different survivors in the city.

Have you played Resident Evil 2 Remake? If not, are you planning to pick the title soon and if yes, what are your thoughts on this brilliant remake of a classic game.
