7nm AMD graphics card the Radeon VII was announced at CES 2019 because AMD wanted to compete with the Nvidia RTX series. Even though AMD Radeon VII does not offer ray tracing, AMD is working on the technology and has confirmed that more graphics cards will be coming out this year. Now reports claim that 7nm AMD Navi graphics cards will be announced at E3 2019.
E3 is expected to take place from June 11 to 13 2019 and it is possible that we might get to see that 7nm AMD Navi graphics cards at the event. We might be able to what these new graphics cards will have to offer. We do not know whether or not these upcoming graphics cards will feature DXR support but it will be impressive if they did.
E3 is a major event where developers come and show off their games and it would be an ideal platform for AMD to reveal the upcoming 7nm AMD Navi graphics cards as well. We have seen a small demo of what the 7nm AMD Radeon VII is capable of and you can expect to see even better performance from the Navi cards.
We saw the AMD Radeon VII run games like The Division 2 and Devil May Cry 5 at 4K at pretty high FPS. The card is going to be released to the public next month and we will be able to check out the performance of the card for ourselves.
While better performance from 7nm AMD Navi graphics cards is expected, there are rumors that AMD Navi cards are going to be mainstream GPUs rather than high-end ones. Having that said, it will be interesting to see what kind of performance these graphics cards will have to offer.
