Sky 9 Games and Curve Digital have announced that their Unreal Engine-powered adventure A Knight’s Quest is releasing on PC and consoles later this year. A Knight’s Quest is a thoroughly modern take on classic adventures of old times and players will be able to discover it later this year.
A Knight’s Quest brings with it all the mechanics required for a fun adventure. Players will be able to dispatch their enemies using stylish thrusts of their swords, rail-grind across huge chasms above tumbling waterfalls, wall-run over perilous traps and solve puzzles by controlling the elements of the very nature itself.
Players will jump in the shoes of Rust who is the main character of A Knight’s Quest. Rust is a daring, debonair and a little bit daft but kind-hearted adventurer who accidentally triggers a chain of events which threaten to destroy his world. Now he must do everything in his power to set things right before everything is lost forever.
Rusty will come face to face with mind-bending conundrums, challenging enemies, huge bosses and difficult platforming sections in a beautiful open-world in the modern take on classic action-adventure games. Apart from the basic sword and shield combo, players will be able to unlock and use ‘Spirit Powers’ which are powerful abilities and have the ability to transform the hero and the world around him.
Rusty can harness the power of Fire, Ice and Time to devastating effect and will be using them often to conquer enemies in battle or solve environmental challenges throughout the game. A Knight’s Quest is set in the kingdom of Regalia however players will be able to explore the desert town of Zameris, ice-laden Peaky Peaks and the Cursed Swamp as well.
Rusty will meet different colorful characters along the way as well which make the world of A Knight’s Quest alive. However, not everyone in this world is a friend. Players will need to take down General Windpipe, The Watcher and many others which come with their own armies of foot soldiers, grunts and minions. A couple of huge bosses are also thrown in the mix which keeps the gameplay challenging.
A Knight’s Quest offers around 30 hours of playtime and with new mechanics and additional systems being introduced to the player gradually, the game never feels dull or boring. The combat is very fluid and fast and platforming is crisp with tight controls. Overall, the developers claim that the game is an action-adventure made pure and simple. Players will be able to find out later this year.
A confirmed release date is not known at this point however A Knight’s Quest will release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.
