Dark Point Games has announced their new and upcoming action RPG called Achilles: Legends Untold, which is a game that is said to be inspired by Dark Souls and Diablo games.
The game is an isometric action RPG that draws inspiration from soulslike and hack & slash genres. However, the creators also wanted to make the game more accessible to beginners, especially those who are just getting started with this type of gameplay. Having said that, the title is not only aimed for newcomers, as it is also filled with optional challenging missions, enough to satisfy experienced players.
In Achilles: Legends Untold, you play as the Greek warrior and hero of the Trojan War, Achilles. Recruited by Hades to confront the god of war Ares on his behalf, you will be facing hordes of mythical beasts, mercenaries, and demigods that are roaming on Earth. To do so, Achilles sets out on a journey through ancient lands to find powerful, magical artifacts that will allow him to fulfill his mission as divine executioner.
While we don’t have a ton of details about the game, we do know that it will offer an extensive combo-based combat system. Achilles will be using various weapons, starting with a sword, axes, and ending with a spear or a two-handed battle axe. Each weapon offers a different experience, so every player will be able to fight in a way that suits him best. In addition, the hero has an extensive skill tree, which will allow to create an individualised character build, tailored to the player’s favorite gameplay style.
Apart from the single-player campaign that you can play on your own, it will also feature a co-op mode in which you can explore mysterious dungeons with your friends.
Achilles: Legends Untold is planned to release in the first quarter of next year 2022. The game will be releasing in Early Access on Steam for PC.
