After the conclusion of the successful beta, Dark Point Games has announced Achilles: Legends Untold Early Access release set for 12th May 2022.
The isometric action RPG, inspired by the souls-like genre was announced last year and now launches in Early Access after the developer took feedback from the beta.
Watch the trailer below:
In Achilles: Legends Untold, you play as the Greek warrior and hero of the Trojan War, Achilles. Recruited by Hades to confront the god of war Ares on his behalf, you will be facing hordes of mythical beasts, mercenaries, and demigods that are roaming on Earth. To do so, Achilles sets out on a journey through ancient lands to find powerful, magical artifacts that will allow him to fulfill his mission as a divine executioner.
Dark Point Games also shared some details about the game, stating that they were looking to create a game that is easy to learn but hard to master. The combat is designed with souls-like tactics in mind, but without letting it be a barrier for new players, especially in this genre.
If you want to experience the game with friends, Achilles: Legends Untold features a robust co-op experience with procedurally generated dungeons to explore, allowing you and your friends to hone your skills even further.
The gameplay is satisfying and features skill-based combat, RPG elements, and resource management. You will have to collect raw materials to forge new and deadlier weapons and sturdy shields.
Moving on to the characters, the game features the innovative GAIA system, which means that the AI characters and their actions feel lifelike and work together in unpredictable ways.
