Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey Gets a Gameplay Trailer at The Game Awards

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey Tools Guide

Panache Digital Games have just released a new exclusive gameplay trailer for Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey at The Game Awards 2018 showing the game in action. Check out the trailer below.

Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey is a third person open world survival game where players play as human ancestors way back in Africa. Humanity is just beginning to spread its wings and it is up to the player to ensure that their clan survives or becomes extinct.

The gameplay trailer actually shows us playing as a human ancestor which looks more like a gorilla or a big monkey and traversing the early African region in search of food and supplies. We can see the traversing and hunting mechanics in the trailer as well.

Traversing will be mostly done for survival and escaping enemies. Players will need to hunt other animals for survival. We can see in the trailer that the main character is leading his clan on a hunt in the game and they are armed with spears. This means that crafting will be a thing in the game and players will need to craft weapons and other useful items in the game.

At the start of the trailer we can also see the player trying to escape from an attacking alligator which shows that surviving in the game will not be easy and the player will need to keep any eye open for different types of predators of all shapes and sizes. At the end, we can see that our clan is attacking a lion and killing it which shows that our clan can be really powerful as it grows in number.

Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey was initially revealed well back in 2015 during the E3 and since then a lot of time has passed. The development of the game looks to be going in a good direction and now we have a gameplay trailer as well. We are looking forward for more details about the game.

Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey is slated for release in 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
