What are Neuronal Points
You can call Neuronal Points as experience points as well. It is just a fancy term in the game. These are used to purchase upgrades in the Evolution menu and will help you make your species much more capable of various activities and most importantly survival. You use them to unlock ability nodes which grant special abilities to your species such as improving your basic senses and some advanced ones as well.
Getting Neuronal Points
There are two essential ways by which you can collect Neuronal Points in the game. The first one is from the dead bodies of your ancestors. Your ancestors will die eventually and their bodies will be left in the world as a pile of bones. Lucky for you, the game marks the bones of your ancestors on the mark with a skull icon. Simply go to their bodies and you will be able to collect some Neuronal Points off their bones.
The second method is the most common method of obtaining the Neuronal Points and it is by having babies around yourself as you go do your exploration and other activities. Every time you perform a task such as craft something, interact with your clan members or even eat something new with babies around you, they will grant you some Neuronal Energy.
