In this Anthem Best Interceptor Builds Guide, we will share some of the best builds for the Interceptor javelin in Anthem. Interceptor is a very versatile and agile javelin and boasts great mobility. It has a very fast attack speed which makes it ideal for hit-and-run attacks which is why one of our builds are specifically going to focus on Interceptor’s mobility.
If you prefer using Interceptor, then you must use our builds for maximizing its abilities and strengths while also trying to cover its weaknesses. Our Anthem Best Interceptor Builds Guide will detail the best possible builds for Interceptor. You can build your javelins to these specs and seriously increase the effectiveness of your javelins in various situations.
Best Interceptor Builds – Anthem
Our Anthem Best Interceptor Builds Guide details the best builds for Interceptor javelin in Anthem. Interceptor excels at mobility and agility. Both our builds for Interceptor are close range melee builds.
Acid Melee Build
With this highly mobile and powerful build, you will be using acid to deal massive amounts of damage to your enemies. Interceptor excels at melee combat so you will combine his melee with Venom Bomb and unleash massive combos on your enemies. You will be extremely close to enemies at this range and even if they move an inch, you will take damage if you are not careful.
It is vital that you use Interceptor’s mobility and agility while in combat to avoid taking too much damage. You can dash around, jump three times in the air and move around extremely quickly with the Interceptor. It is not as tough as Colossus so use the agility to your advantage, Interceptor’s melee attacks also have no cool down period which is great for unleashing attacks on your enemies.
For this build, you will need the following loadout.
- Venom Bomb (Assault System) – This will be your priming weapon. It sprays acid all over your enemies making them ripe for exploding.
- Tempest Strike (Strike System) – This is used to start melee attack swoop-in. You can also use this in air or cancel at the last moment if you change your mind.
- Target Beacon (Support System) – This increases the attack capability by allowing chaining effect to different enemies at the same time.
With this build, you start by spraying acid all over your enemies and then slashing them with melee attacks. Spray your enemies with the Venom Bomb and then detonate them with Tempest Strike. Your combat aura will also deal DoT damage to the enemies. Use Target Beacon to take down tougher enemies easily.
You will also need the following components for this build.
- Blade Inscription – Increases Interceptor’s melee damage
- Amphibious Attack – Increases damage dealt by acid, oxygen capacity in water and acid resistance of Interceptor javelin itself.
- Strike System Augment – Increases damage dealt by the strike system
- Interceptor Combo Augment – Increases aura combo pulse rate
Using these components will allow you to increase the effectiveness of both Venom Bomb and Tempest Strike. Blade Inscription will allow you to survive longer as you chop down enemies with it quickly.
Hit-and-Run Build
This Interceptor build yet again takes advantage of Interceptor’s high speed and mobility. With this build, you can easily jump in for attacks and then quickly evade back to a safe location before the enemy can react to your presence. You will use the Tempest Strike and Cyro Glaive for this build.
To make this build more effective, you must land a few hits and then run away to a safe location. Otherwise, you will not be able to take full advantage of this build because the enemies will start damaging you up. Let’s look at the gear that you need for this build.
- Cyro Glaive (Assault System) – It can freeze and prime 5 enemies at the same time.
- Tempest Strike (Strike System) – It can start melee attack swoop-in. You can use this in the air and also cancel it at the last moment if you change your mind.
- Rally Cry (Support System) – This helps you recover status effect after disengaging from the attacks.
Cyro Glaive will help you freeze multiple enemies at the same time and you can then detonate them using the Tempest Strike. Enemies will remain frozen for a short time so you must move in, attack and then run away from the enemies quickly. If enemies become free while you are engaged, use Rally Cry to take less damage.
The following components must also be used for this build.
- Blade Inscription – Increases Interceptor’s melee attack damage
- Battle Inscription – Increases weapon damage dealt by Interceptor
- Strike System Augment – Increases strike system damage
- Assault System Augment – Increases damage dealt by Assault System
These components will further enhance the damage dealt by all your attacks. Use short range weapons which already have higher amount of damage to make them even more deadly in combat with this build. As you can see all the components are focused on damage dealing. None of them increase the defense so do not engage in extra combat. Get in, deal some damage and run away.
