Below we will detail all the types of crafting materials in the game, what they do and where you can get them. We will also detail how you can get blueprints in the game that are necessary in crafting a certain type of item you want.

Types of Crafting Materials

There are basically four types of materials that can be used to craft the various item sin the game.

Weapons Parts: These parts are specific for upgrading weapons and to make new weapons.

Javelin Parts: These parts are specific to upgrading the abilities of your Javelin suits. Depending on the type of upgrade you are crafting, they can enhance support and combat abilities in the game.

Embers: Embers are used in crafting blueprints. These come in four types where there are Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Masterwork. Depending on what item you are creating, an Epic item will require Epic Embers.

Chimeric Compound and Chimeric Alloy: These are general resource material that are required for almost anything you craft in the game. From crafting anything big to small, you can be sure that you will require some of these materials in crafting.

How to Get Crafting Materials

To craft anything, you need the crafting materials needed to begin with. These are ingredients that are needed for the final product you want. Starting from the most common materials, Chimeric Alloys and Compounds are abundantly found all throughout the world of Anthem as they can be harvest from plants and rocks during missions or Freeplay. These materials are also obtained when you dismantle any type of gear that you do not need.

Weapon Parts can be found from part containers. These are special containers that can be found during missions or when you are free roaming in Freeplay. However, you can also get these parts by dismantling certain weapons that you want to discard.

Javelin Parts can be obtained by dismantling parts the are specific to each Javelin. This means that if you dismantle the Interceptor Components, you will get Interceptor Parts, while if you dismantle Ranger abilities you get Ranger parts.

Blueprints and How to Get Them

It is not only about gathering the materials needed to craft the item you want, it is also about acquiring the blueprints that will help in the crafting. Blueprints also come in rarity levels that determine the stats of the item they can create the materials required, and the recipe.

Now lets talk about how you can get these blueprints. Blueprints can be obtained by completing challenges related to an item. These challenges are accessible in the Challenges Menu of Anthem, where you will be detailed what you need to do and what reward you will get after successfully completing them.

When you are looking for a weapons upgrade blueprint, you can get them by completing the weapons challenge specific to the weapon upgrade you are looking for. Each weapon has its own challenge, that require some task to be completed before you are rewarded with the blueprint upon its completion.

Javelin Abilities are rewarded to you by completing certain challenges that require you to equip an ability for a certain number of missions.

Weapon Sigils can be obtained when you gain loyalty levels with the Arcanists faction, while Ammo and Armor components are obtained when you gain loyalty levels with the Freelancer faction.

Lastly, you can get Ability and Elemental components when you gain loyalty levels with the Sentinel faction.
