In this Anthem Tomb of Legionnaires Guide, we will show you how you can complete the challenges of each Tomb that can be found in Anthem. These Tombs are spread around the entire map of the world, and require you to complete a set of challenges to unlock each of the Tomb.
There are four Tombs in Anthem, and successfully opening all of the Tombs allow you to access the Tomb of General Tarsis, where you can reward yourself with the Javelin of General Tarsis.
Unlocking the Tomb of General Tarsis is part of the main story mission of Anthem. In order to proceed, you have to unlock all the other Tombs in Anthem by completing their list of challenges. You must beat all the challenges to open the door to each Tomb. Inside each tomb, you will find the sarcophagus which will reward you with some items, and completes the Tomb.

Below we will how you can unlock the Tomb of Legionnaires, where you can find them, and what challenges each require to be completed before you can unlock them for rewards, and to proceed with the main story to enter The Tomb of General Tarsis.
How to Unlock Tomb Of Legionnaires
To unlock the Tomb of the Legionnaires, you must beat the story mission “Finding Old Friends”. This can be done by completing all the contracts and missions until you reach this mission.
In this mission you will meet Haluk and Faye. After completing the mission, they will both join you in Tarsis. When Faye has joined Tarsis, she will ask you to talk to her. Go meet her, as this will begin the General Tarsis Questline, and mark the 4 Tombs of the Legionnaire Locations on the map.
Tombs of Legionnaires Location and Challenges
You are now tasked with locating them in the open world in free-roam. As mentioned before, each Tomb will require different challenges to be completed in order to access the entrance.
Many of the challenges will require you to defeat enemies, complete activities in Freeplay, or even finding open treasure chests. All of your progress can be tracked in the Challenges menu, under Freeplay.
The location of the 4 Tombs of the Legionnaires are:
- Tomb of Yvenia: Located west of Fort Tarsis, this is the closest tomb to Fort Tarsis.
- Tomb of Artina: This tomb is located north west of Fort Tarsis.
- Tomb of Gawnes: This Tomb can be located at Fortress of Dawn
- Tomb of Cariff: This Tomb can be located north east in the Emerald Abyss region.
Tomb Challenges List
This part of the guide contains all the challenges required to be completed in order to gain access to the entrance of each Tomb.
Tomb of Yvenia Challenges
- 15 Treasure Chests – Find and open 15 Treasure Chests. They are found plentiful during Freeplay in the open world, or in World Events.
- 25 Harvests – Harvest 25 Minerals or Organic Materials. These are plants or deposits that can be harvested in the open world.
- 3 Javelins Repaired – Repair or revive teammates when downed in Expeditions, Missions, or Contracts.
- 10 Collectibles – Find 10 Collectibles in the open world.
Tomb of Artina Challenges
- 5 World Events – Complete any 5 World Events that you encounter in the open world in Freeplay30
- 30 Weapon Defeats – Defeat 30 enemies using your firearms
- 15 Weak Points Defeats – Defeat 15 enemies by hitting their weak spots. Weak point hits are indicated with yellow damage numbers when you shoot an enemy’s weak spot.
- 9 Elite Defeats – Kill 9 Elite enemies. These can be found in Strongholds or certain missions or contracts. They are marked by the prefix “Elite” above their head.
Tomb of Gawnes Challenges
- 50 Melee Defeats – Defeat 50 enemies using Melee Attacks
- 50 Ultimate Defeats – Defeat 50 enemies using your Javelin’s Ultimate ability
- 3 Legendary Defeats – Defeat 3 Legendary Enemies, which are the toughest boss enemies with the yellow health bar
Tomb of Cariff Challenges
- 3 Missions – Complete any 3 missions
- 30 Gear Defeats – Use 30 gear pieces to defeat enemies. Defeat enemies with your Javelin’s special attack like grenades.
- 15 Combo Triggers – Execute 15 combo attacks on enemies by using your Javelin’s Detonators
- 3 Multi-Kills – Kill 3 enemies at the same time. Works best with attack that covers a wide range. Any Javelin’s Ultimate ability should do the trick here.
