Anthem VIP Access Demo Details Announced – No Tutorials, Single Story Arc

Anthem VIP Access Demo

The executive producer of Anthem, Mark Darrah, has revealed the details of the upcoming Anthem VIP Access Demo. In his tweet, Mark has revealed some of the details the special build will have and what players can look forward too.

According to Mark’s tweet, the Anthem VIP Access Demo will put the players in the middle of the story and there will be no tutorials. Players will need to figure out stuff themselves. This is pretty common for most betas as very few betas come with tutorials and guides.

Apart from this the private beta will only allow players to play with one pilot and there will be no pilot picker in the game. Players will not be able to switch to any other pilot in the game. The private beta build also has a ‘super different balance’ and the economy is also completely different from the full game.

The VIP access demo will only feature a single story arc however the mission, stronghold and freeplay balance will be a little off which will be fixed in a later build of the game. Apart from this, the PC version will have less nuanced PC controls which we think means that PC controls are now much better than the initial control scheme.

If players choose to fly with the mouse, the control is now much more improved when compared to the previous beta. The developers have also changed some names in the game so that players can easily understand them in the final game.

The Anthem VIP Access Demo is available exclusively to all EA/Origin Access Subscribers and players who pre-ordered the game. This is a specific build which will be used to gather important data and improve the overall game based of player feedback.

Players who are not subscribed to EA/Origin Access or did not pre-order Anthem will also get a chance to test out the game before it comes out. The free demo will run from February 1 to 3, 2019.

Anthem is coming out on Xbox One, PC and PS4 on February 22, 2019.
