Crafting

Crafting is a vital part of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. You can collect various resources from around the map and then use them to craft a variety of upgrades for yourself and your ship. Explore the world and you will find tons of containers on land and in sea where you will find many resources. You also earn resources by hunting animals and destroying enemy ships.

Take a break every now and then to spend some time gathering resources and then crafting upgrades for yourself and you will need better armor and weapons for completing main story quests. It also lets you play the game at your own pace where you can gather resources by your preferred method and then craft upgrades in peace.

Viewpoints

Viewpoints are scattered on the islands in ancient Greece where you can climb high, enjoy the scenery and synchronize the area to unlock more points of interest in that specific region. Each region in the game has plenty of viewpoints so make sure that you visit them all. This will also unlock fast travel for you, which is a very helpful feature in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Eliminate Bounty Hunters

As you kill innocent civilians and commit crimes in the game, you will start to accumulate bounty on your head. On the lower right side of the screen, you will see five helmets on a bar, which are normally grey. Commit crimes and this bar will start to rise. Reaching helmets means that people are starting to notice your crimes and they will want you dead.

As you reach helmets, the number of bounty hunters after you will increase and you will need to get rid of them every now and then. To remove bounty on your head, you can pay off the person who set a bounty on your head. If you do not want to pay the sponsor, stop committing crimes and it should decline eventually.

Complete Side Quests

There are tons of side quests in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey that you can complete for extra gold and rewards. These side quests are present in every region and you will also unlock new members for your crew during these side quests. Complete as many as you can and you will earn XP, unique gear, more members for your crew and gold.

Sometimes you will also meet someone special and you will get a chance to romance them during these side quests. Side quests range from killing people to romancing people to collecting bear scrotums. There is something for everyone in the game.

Hunt Down Mercenaries

Apart from you, many other mercenaries are also present in the game which will sometimes make your game very difficult such as while conquest battles. You can only reveal mercenaries when they are close to you in the map or you use Ikaros to scout them out. As you discover more and more mercenaries, they will be added to the ‘Mercenaries’ tab in the main menu and you can check out their details from there. You can defeat them and earn some really cool loot.

Complete Activities

There are different activities that you can complete in the game as well. We have detailed them below in the form of a list and explained what you will be required to do in them to complete them.

  • Legendary Animal Hunt – Find and hunt down Legendary animals to earn some cool gear
  • Conquest Battles – Help attackers or defenders in big battles for controlling regions throughout Greece
  • The Arena – Complete challenges, defeat waves of enemies and the bosses for make yourself known across the seas
  • Mysterious Sites – Find upgrades for Spear of Leonidas.
  • Tombs – Explore and find ancient stele.
  • Ainigmata Ostraka – Find the tablets, solve their puzzle and win unique Engravings.

Finish Off the Cultists

The entire Greece is infected by a cult known as Cult of Kosmos and you must find and kill every last one of these cultists to save Greece from their malice. They are hiding around the map and you have only clues to find their locations. Find them all and kill them to finish off their threat once and for all. Defeating cultists will earn you artifact fragments and Legendary gear.

Explore the Photo Mode

The game features a photo mode, which can be activated in the settings and then used any time by pressing both sticks at the same time. You can take pictures of the game at any point with this and then share with the world. This is also a good little side activity that will keep you busy for hours if you love taking cool pictures.

Visit the Blacksmith

You will find various blacksmiths on your journey in the game. They will buy your junk, help you upgrade and craft items and will also put engravings on your items. You can also purchase new weapons, armor and other useful items from them. Make sure to visit these blacksmiths every now and then to check their inventory and buy some useful things such as new mounts and other crafting materials.
