How to Unlock Fast Travel
The first thing you need to do to unlock fast travel is to explore the area that you want to fast travel to. This works like any other game which requires you to manually take your character to an unexplored region.
However, you can’t just fast travel to any random spot in the explored area/region, but you can do so by going to three certain Fast Travel points. There are three different types of fast travel points in the game:
- Synchronization Points
- The Encampments and Settlements
- Docks
All three types of Fast Travel Points are marked with a different logo. A Synchronization Point will be marked with an eagle, a Settlement is marked with a tent or a hut, while the Docks will be marked with a ship. When locked, all three icons will be marked in white, which means that you cannot use them to fast travel. However, once you explore the area and unlock each of the fast travel point, they will switch to green.
How to Fast Travel
Once you have a region explored and all the fast travel points turned to green in a selected region, you can simply go to the map and fast travel to where you want to go.
A little note about Synchronization Points is that you will have to go and sync with each of them on the map, which will then not only unlock the fast travel location near it but also reveal a large area of the map.
