Persona 5 S

After many rumors and speculations, Atlus has finally teased Persona 5 R which looks like a better and enhanced version of the original title released back in 2016. The rumors were around ever since Atlus’s marketing agency has been registering new domains under Persona and one of them included P5R.jp.

This tease comes in the form of a new video which was revealed after the broadcast of Persona animation special Dark Sun…in Japan. The video is 30 seconds long so it is more of a teaser than a proper video but in the video we can see Tokyo’s Shibuya district, which anyone who played the original title, knows is very important in the game.

After the district, the video shows the ‘New Projects’ and ‘2019.3’ text during the video which clearly shows that Atlus is unveiling new projects in March 2019. Showing Shibuya along with P5 icon shows that Persona R is indeed happening specially when the developer has recently registered the domain as well.

The main question here now is which additional projects are being worked on along with Persona 5 R. Atlus has been quite after releasing Persona 5 and everything after that has been just rumors and speculations. Now Atlus has finally broken silence with their new teaser video.

Considering what other titles could be coming out, we can only speculate that they could be spinoffs similar to Persona 4 spinoff titles. Atlus has a habit of releasing many spinoff titles after releasing a major Persona title in the franchise.

At this point, platforms of Persona 5 R are also unknown. The original title was only released for PS3 and PS4 however the next title could go multiplatform as well with Nintendo Switch being one of the best choices for Atlus to adopt.
