Developer Focus Entertainment and publisher DON’T NOD have released the extended gameplay trailer for their upcoming title Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will allow you to hunt and battle supernatural horrors to alter a tragic fate. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a poignant, narrative-driven, action-adventure game that is slated for release later this year and the latest trailer gives us a detailed look at the gameplay that we can expect from the game when it comes out.

In Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, you play as a couple of banishers in a world where the souls of the departed roam free. The duo comprises Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith who are experienced spirit hunters entrusted with the daunting task of lifting a malevolent and ominous curse. After an ill-advised attack, Antea is killed and it leaves her lover in solitude and profound despair. Torn between their vows to protect the living from malicious spirits and the nightmare of Antea’s condition, they wander the eerie wilderness of North America to liberate her from her new plight.
New Eden has many communities living in it and you will enter their lives in a world plagued with supernatural creatures and ancient secrets. Antea will bring her spiritual powers to the table and Red has his own mighty arsenal to defeat and banish the souls that torment the living. While doing so, you will uncover secrets, navigate mysterious landscapes, and meet memorable but tormented characters whose fates rest in your hands. The journey will also require you to make heavy decisions that decide your path in the game as well as the fate of the people living in it.
For fans, the developers have also revealed a new Red Echoes Edition which contains an ancient, leather-effect notebook illustrated with Red’s memories, an ink writing set, the game on any platform, and the Wanderer Set DLC.
Apart from the Red Echoes Edition, the game is also getting a Collector’s Editon which includes:
- The game on any platform with the Wanderer Set DLC
- A modular statuette of Red and Antea
- The game’s official artbook
- A Steelbook®
- Two Banishers signet rings
If you want to get any of these two editions, you can only purchase them from Focus Entertainment’s own store while stocks last. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is slated for release on November 7, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Pre-orders are now live for both the Red Echoes Edition and the Collector’s Edition.
