In a recent interview to Metro, the vice president of global marketing and communications Pete Hines has confirmed that Wolfenstein 3 will indeed come out and the studio is fully committed to the franchise.
Wolfenstein is Bethesda’s first-person shooter franchise, which was rebooted with the stellar Wolfenstein – The New Order and became an instant hit. The first game received a prequel by the name Wolfenstein – The Old Blood, which was yet another stellar entry in the series.
The last title in the franchise was Wolfenstein II – The New Colossus, which came out in 2017 and it was a title fitting to the franchise’s reputation. After Wolfenstein: II however, Bethesda had been very quiet about the franchise and fans of the series were left with no option but to think that it was the last game in the franchise.
Their silence was broken on the franchise during the E3 of 2018 when they not really announced a new Wolfenstein game but more of a spinoff title Wolfenstein: Youngblood. You can check out the official trailer of Youngblood below. More details will be revealed about this title in the future as well.
Now the developers have finally revealed that the third title in the franchise will surely come out and fans of the franchise will get some more Nazi action. Pete Hines did not reveal much about the title such as when is the game coming out or what sort of story it will have, but we are expecting some sort of an announcement from them very soon.
We will share more information on Wolfenstein III as soon as the developers reveal more information about the game. We really hope that the next title in the franchise will not keep as waiting as long as the next Elder Scrolls game.
