Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss showcased their upcoming content plans for Black Desert Online during this weekend’s ‘Calphe: ON Ball’. During the event, the developer showcased a detailed look at the upcoming class Nova and also presented a brief look at the future of the game in the form of a content roadmap. Nova is going to be the 21st class to join Black Desert Online and uses morning-star and tower shield as her main.
She is described officially as:
She is the lost heiress of Calpheon, one of the major power centers in the games’ story which is currently ruled by an elected council. Aside from heavy strikes from her morning star and shield, Nova can issue various commands. This allows her to summon spectral guardians from the heart of her shield and she can summon talons of frost to strike down her foe. Nova is a strategic frontline fighter that’s ready to take back her throne with an icy vengeance.
Players will be able to pre-create their characters based on Nova from today while the full release of the new class is slated for December 22, 2020. Players jumping back in the game can also get the new, exclusive Young Ice Dragon mini pet along with a free mount and special accessories that they can use on the new Nova class when it arrives in the game. Apart from the detailed look at Nova, producer Jae Hee Kim also shared a roadmap showcasing the current plans of the future of the game.
A developer diary is also now live which recaps the details of the event and contains videos of four different performances of tracks from the game in new styles and arrangements. Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss also announced that after February 24, 2020, the servicing duties of the game will be overseen by Pearl Abyss which is already the case for the console, mobile, and regions outside of North America and Europe.
