Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge is 4v4 Online Melee Game According to Leak

Bleeding Edge

Hellblade developer Ninja Theory has been working on developing a 4×4 online melee game called Bleeding Edge for a while now. While the developer would be shared more details at E3 2019, a new leak has already shown some footage that shows the gameplay reveal recorded with a camera.

The leak comes from a Swedish site Xboxer, and the footage was re-uploaded by Polygon. The video has no sound and is recorded from a shaky camera, it still gives us an idea of what to expect from Bleeding Edge.

The video shows the various heroes that will be in the game fighting in a colorful and futuristic setting. The fighters wield weapons like big swords, axes, saw blades, and blunt weapons. In addition, there is also a minigun in the mix too. The gameplay also shows some environmental hazards like a train running over a character, which makes it quite interesting.

Bleeding Edge could be seen as a new take for Ninja Theory as their previous game, Hellblade, was all about the single player adventure experience.  The trailer does not mention any release date but mentions that the technical alpha will start from June 27.

The trailer gives no information as to what platforms the game would be releasing on. However, since Ninja Theory has been acquired by Microsoft, the game would certainly be releasing on the Xbox One and PC.

Ninja Theory is known for popular games like Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. In fact, the game is being designed by Devil May Cry combat director Rahni Tucker. The studio was acquired by Microsoft last year as announced at E3 2018, so we might get to hear more about it during the Xbox pre-E3 press conference tomorrow.
