Gearbox has teased Borderlands 3 in a new teaser trailer confirming that the third part in the franchise is finally happening. More news on the title will be revealed tomorrow at PAX East. The trailer is not specifically mentioning the new title as Borderlands 3. The trailer is named ‘Mask of Mayhem’ which could be the name of the new title or could mean something relating to the next title in the franchise.
Gearbox has been teasing us for quite some time about the next Borderlands title in the previous days. Gearbox has earlier announced that they are heading to PAX East where they will host a panel livestream and reveal their next titles. We earlier got another tease which showed either the next Bulletstorm or a Duke Nukem title.
The new trailer released confirms a new Borderlands game although the short teaser is very vague and does not reveal much about the next title. Mask of Mayhem could the name of the next title as well.
You can check out the new trailer below although it does not give us any hints about what the new title is going to be. It only made us more confused.
Gearbox will host their PAX EAST panel livestream tomorrow at 6 pm GMT where more information will be released about the incoming Borderlands title as well that Bulletstorm x Duke Nukem tease that we got earlier.
Personally, I would love a new Bulletstorm title. I really liked the first game and it ended at a very big cliffhanger. We never got to know what became of Ishi and whether Grey was able to exact his revenge on General Serrano or not. Bulletstorm really needs the next title to answer all these questions.
We at least know now that a new Borderlands game is coming which is excellent news. We will share more details tomorrow when Gearbox finally reveals the new title as well as all other news that Gearbox has planned for tomorrow. Check back tomorrow for more information.
