Children of Morta is a rogue-like game that will challenge you with its gameplay. It has a lot of unique bosses, enemies, weapons, and items that make the game interesting. You can be at an advantage when fighting a boss if you are well prepared and are leveled up enough to take them down easily.

Below we have detailed everything you need to know as a beginner in Children of Morta.

Explore Every Corner

There are many things the maps in the game have to give you. This is why you should explore every corner of a map that you are in. If you find yourself going in dungeons, make sure you search for everything inside as there are rare items to be found inside.

Hidden items include relics and runes that can buff the stats of your character, or give you an additional ability to take down enemies. Other items that you can find inside are weapon upgrades that will help you boost your weapons.

Balanced Team

You need to have a balanced team in the game to make it easier for you in combat and exploration. Having a team that is all power can have consequences when you are overwhelmed with a lot of enemies.

You should always have a balanced character in the mix that plays a supportive role, while your attacking characters do the main job of taking down enemies. There are many skills and traits that each character has. So take a look into them and have one equipped that you think will help you.

Play with a character that offers range from a distance with their attacks. This can help you massively as you can continue with the attack if your main melee attackers need to retreat. Range attackers like Linda, will shoot their arrows from a distance and deal damage to the enemy..

Upgrade Your Characters

Characters in the game will require you to upgrade them. This is necessary as the game will progressively get tougher as you play. There are many skills and traits that will not only increase your base stats, or give you additional abilities, but they also help your whole team by providing them with some buff.

You can upgrade your character when you go to Berguson’s House. This is the best place you can spend your gold, and it is highly advised that you do so. Saving up the gold for something big is a bad idea and will make things even harder as you continue playing.

Go Through Glowing Gates

Glowing Gates takes you to secret areas that will contain more loot for you to collect. These gates can be found in the various places of the maps that you explore. The gates allow only you and your team to pass through, but not the enemies.

This gives you an additional combat strategy as your ranged attacks can pass through the gates and still hit the enemy on the other side. This can work wonders if you can get a group of enemies near the gate, and fire away from the other side, taking them down easily.
