Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have 3 Origin Stories Leading to Different Prologues

Cyberpunk 2077 Prologues

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated titles of this generation and the developer, CD Projekt Red has revealed that the game will have three unique prologues. This was revealed by Pawel Sasko, lead quest designer, to VG247 who explained that the starting area in Cyberpunk 2077 will depend on the origin story.

In his statement, Sasko detailed that since Cyberpunk 2077 comes with the option to create a custom character, players will be able to choose an origin story for them as well. Depending on the origin story, the players will start in a different location. Since three origin stories are present in the game, there are three unique prologues for players to choose from based on the origin stories.

So far, the developer has only shown one starting location which is the Badlands surrounding the Night City. There are three origin stories and the developers call them Lifepaths. You can choose between Nomad, Corpo or Street Kid and each comes with their own Lifepaths. Each Lifepath has a different starting location along with a different background attached to it.

Earlier Keanu Reeves shared some details on his Johnny Silverhand role in Cyberpunk 2077. The biggest surprise during the E3 2019 was the reveal of Keanu Reeves as a character in Cyberpunk 2077 when he came to the stage himself and announced it. Johnny Silverhand is like a guide in the game however he has his own ambitions. He will decide himself whether you are his friend or simply in his way.

You can also finish Cyberpunk 2077 without killing anyone. This is something that very few players would want to do so because the game is full of different weapons. However, players can always play the game again since it is coming with a NewGame+ mode. It will allow players to alternate between a bloody and a clean playthrough of the game.

You can also pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 now however if you really want to go big, there’s a sweet Collector’s Edition up for grabs as well. CD Projekt Red finally announced the release date of the game as well during E3. Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for release on April 16, 2020, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Which origin story are you going to choose when the game comes out next year? Let us know in the comments section below.
