The Witcher 3 Game Director Joins Cyberpunk 2077 as Design Director

Game director of The Witcher 3 Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has now joined the Cyberpunk 2077 team as the design director. The news comes a month after the creative director left his position for Cyberpunk 2077 to move into Blizzard.

Konrad is a prominent member of the in CD Projekt RED and while the game’s development is coming along well, his inclusion in the team can mean a lot for Cyberpunk 2077.

News about his promotion came at the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit where a LinkedIn user noticed promotion. If you go and check Konrad’s LinkedIn profile, you will notice that he has taken a new position within the game company two months ago as a vice president of game development and design director for Cyberpunk 2077.

As a game director for The Witcher 3, which is arguably one of the best RPG games ever made, the addition of Konrad is great news. He worked as a senior designer on the first Wither game. Followed by the serving several roles for the development of The Witcher 2 that included lead gameplay designer and quest designer.

Meanwhile he has also worked on both the expansions of The Witcher 3 as the game director. The expansions were namely Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

Talking more about Cyberpunk 2077, the developer studio CD Projekt RED has announced last week that the game will be making an appearance at this year’s E3. This possibly means that we will be able to see new gameplay footage in June when E3 will be held.

CD Projekt RED has already shown a 50 minute gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077 last year. however, the studio has made it clear that the game is still in development, while the footage can be subject to change.

The game has still no confirmation release date as of yet, but we expect more details to come out in this year’s E3. Post your comments below.
