DayZ is Getting a Brand New Map Livonia with Bears and Serene Lakes

Bohemia Interactive has announced that a brand new map Livonia is coming soon for DayZ. This is the first official DLC for the survival game ever since its release and it will arrive at the same time on all platforms. Livonia will be the second official map of the game and it will bring a brand new perspective to the game with its additional challenges.

Livonia is based on the latest map from Arma 3 Contact and it brings vast green landscapes, dense expansive forests, serene lakes, and winding rivers. The map is 163mk2 overall and it is one of the prettiest locations to arrive in the game. The map might look very pretty and beautiful however it will bring with it even more dangers and challenges for the players.

Livonia is host to frequent rainfall and thunderstorms which means that players will need to take them into consideration during their travels. The new climate will make protective gear and shelter even more important than ever. It will also introduce a brand new predator bears to the game which will stop at nothing to tear any humans to shreds that cross their path.

The new map will arrive alongside the upcoming 1.06 update for DayZ which will introduce hundreds of new assets for the community. The assets, however, will be available to players free of cost even if they don’t purchase the Livonia map. DayZ was released back in 2013 and the developers have been working hard to make the game better and better since then. The new map is certainly a very good addition to the game.
