Dead Space

Electronic Arts and Motive have announced the release date of the classic sci-fi survival horror game, Dead Space on consoles and PC. The game will be released on 23rd January 2023.

The new version of the classic game is rebuilt from the ground up using the Frostbite engine as the remake will challenge you to survive and discover new mysteries aboard the iconic USG Ishimura.

Dead Space will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will be a remake of the classic game. The remake will offer enhanced audio and harrowing visuals that have been carefully reimagined to evoke a new level of immersion and quality.

Phillippe Ducharme, Senior Producer of Dead Space talked about the Dead Space remake,

Developing this remake has been a lot of fun for us at Motive, as we’re true fans of the franchise and want to treat it with the respect it deserves. It’s been equally exciting to see players’ reactions as we’re taking them on this development journey with us. We’re making great progress on our road to hitting Alpha and we’re happy to announce that the game will be launching in January next year. We can’t wait for players, both old and new, to see how we’ve elevated the original experience in the remake to be just as impactful for this generation.

If you are unaware of the classic game, Dead Space will put you in the shoes of Isaac Clarke, and everyman engineer on a routine mission to fix a mining starship, the USG Ishimura. However, onboard the shop lives a nightmare waiting for you. The crew has been long dead, slaughtered by the infected, while Isaac’s girlfriend, Nicole, is missing on the ship.

All alone and trapped inside, you only have your engineering tools and skills to face a battle of survival from not only the terrifying monsters called Necromorphs but also Isaac’s crumbling insanity.
