Renown is an important system in Diablo 4 that affects many other things in the game such as your Healing Potion Charges. It is vital that you have a sound understanding of this mechanic to make the most out of it and make the game a little bit easier for yourself. This Diablo 4 Renown Guide is all about how Renown works and how you can increase your Renown in the Sanctuary.
Renown Guide – Diablo 4
Renown is a system that governs different aspects of Diablo 4 and increasing your Renown works miracles for you in the game. Each region in the Sanctuary has its own Renown level and the more tasks you complete in this region, your Renown will increase for this particular region only which means that if you want to increase your Renown all over the map, you will need to complete tasks in every region of the game. Increasing your Renown awards you with different items which are extremely helpful for you in the game.
Earning Renown is fairly simple because nearly all of the tasks that you perform in the game will reward you with Renown for that particular region. Another important thing to notice is that Renown-based rewards are tied to that particular character or account based on their nature. This gives you a good reason to explore areas that you might skip otherwise. Different exploration tasks will reward you with Renown. Some of these include:
Task | Renown Rewarded for Completion |
Altars of Lilith | 10 |
Areas Discovered | 5 |
Side Dungeons | 30 |
Side Quests | 20 |
Strongholds | 100 |
Waypoints | 20 |
Renown Rewards
Based upon the level that you reach with your Renown; you will unlock different rewards which might be tied to your character or your accounts. Each level unlocks one reward for your character and one reward for your account. Level 4 and Level 5 Renown rewards require World Tier 3 as well, so progress is equally required apart from exploration for gaining maximum rewards with Renown. These awards include:
Renown Level | Account Rewards | Character Rewards |
200 | 1 Skill Point | XP and 3,000 Gold |
500 | 1 Healing Potion Charge | XP and 10,000 Gold |
800 | 1 Skill Point | XP and 25,000 Gold |
1,110 | 80 Maximum Obols | XP and 60,000 Gold |
1,500 | 4 Paragon Points | XP and 150,000 Gold |
