The wait is over and EA has finally revealed the brand new Need For Speed game arriving this year called Need for Speed Heat. Surprisingly, the only leak we had about the game turned out to be true when the retailer listed Need for Speed Heat as the newest title in the franchise due to arrive later this year. EA is claiming that Need For Speed Heat is the ultimate street raver versus cop fantasy.
The latest title is NFS Heat and gives us the classic 80s vibes with the logo and the neon fonts. The game is pretty much set in the same classic Hot Pursuit formula however it looks like that EA has combined the ProStreet and Hot Pursuit together to form a new type of NFS game. The game is set in Palm City which is a brand new open-world where street racers have gathered to make their names known.
During day time, the racers take part in the Speedhunters Showdown which is a controlled and sanctioned competition where they earn Bank to customize and upgrade their garage of different types of high-performance cars. However, when the sun goes down, the players risk everything to build their Rep in underground races where a rogue police task force roams the streets. The police will stop at nothing to take down the player and swipe all their earnings.
