GATO Studio released its brand new RPG The Waylanders recently in Early Access on Steam and now the developer has shared an Early Access Roadmap. Since the game is in Early Access, the game will receive periodic updates with bug fixes and content additions and it looks like GATO Studios has a busy 2020 planned for The Waylanders according to the latest Early Access roadmap.
The new Early Access roadmap for The Waylanders reveals that the developers are planning a biweekly cadence of content and gameplay improvement updates for the title. In the beginning, the focus will remain on adding more content to the game with more added quests and early companion loyalty missions along with lore finding their way into the game. Each major content update will be followed by an update catering to in-game improvements such as bug fixes, missing cinematics, and gameplay refinement.

As you can see, the first update is slated for release starting July which will focus on some major bugs currently present in the game and the Week 2 update will start adding more content to the game such as new Loyalty Quests along with info such as detailed stats, abilities, and combat. These content and quality updates will continue for 7 weeks and will go until August where the developers will reveal more information about their plans for the game for the next months. The full release is planned for Q1 2021 however post-September the game will continue to receive major content updates.
We recently previewed the Early Access version of The Waylanders and while the game has its flaws at this moment, the game surely has potential and with the newly announced roadmap, we are sure that the final release of The Waylanders is going to be a solid release.
