Elden Ring Fallingstar Beast Boss Guide

The Fallingstar Beast presents a great challenge with its relentless attacks, paired with the tight environment it fights in. The battle area is basically a small cave, inhabited by this beast that has deadly pincers it uses for its main attacks and an extendable tail that it uses to keep you in check when you try to sneak from behind.

As an optional boss that doesn’t dish out the best of rewards, it is advised to keep this one for later, or until you are at least level 70. When you do decide to fight, make sure you have a weapon that allows you to perform quick attacks. This is because you will barely have enough time and opportunity to hit the boss.

When you first enter the battle area, you might be caught off guard as the boss will immediately pin you to the wall. Being a small and tight area, it only takes a few steps for the boss to cover the entire area from one end to the other. The first few attacks that the boss will present you with are mainly done with its pincers. These will be used to grab you or maul you when it opens them wide and runs back and forth.

These aren’t the only attacks as the boss also uses AoE attacks, indicated by its pincers glowing in purple lightning. This special attack is where the boss pauses for a second, clicks its pincers, and then uses them to produce purple electricity on the ground where you are standing. You need to dodge this area or you will be hit by the spikey rocks that will be thrust upwards. The attack begins with two small purple electricity circles, followed by a big circle to finish.

The best way to take on the boss is to stay in the middle of the area, as this ensures that the boss is always near the wall, allowing you to focus better and avoid attacks. If you are pushed to the wall, the rotating camera caused by the constant barrage of attacks from the boss makes it really annoying and completely throws the perspective of the player.

Staying in the middle is also important as it gives you plenty of space to avoid one of its purple electricity attacks. This attack begins with a small stagger where the boss charges and then raises its head up in the air for a big AoE attack. This attack can take more than 50% of the area, which when performed from the middle of the area increases your chances of getting caught in the attack.

Other attacks that the Fallingstar Beast mixes in between the main attacks are the bull run where it opens wide with its pincers and runs back and forth in a straight line, and the tail swipe if you try to dodge behind the boss.

When you have drained half of the boss’ health, this is where it will produce a beam attack from its mouth. This attack is the best opportunity where you can run straight to the boss and hit it a couple of times or go for a heavy attack.
