Epic Games has released a detailed roadmap for its digital store Epic Games Store which details all new features coming to the store in the next six months. These new features range from cloud saves, user reviews, a fresh UI for the store, achievements and a lot more to follow.
Epic Games released the roadmap on Trello which shows the complete roadmap along with expected times for each feature to arrive. Although a specific time frame is mentioned for all features to arrive, the developer also states that these times may change according to workload or other factors in play.
The most recent features arriving in the next three months include an offline mode fixes, improved patch sizes, cloud saves, Search by Genre and Tag, some internal ‘under the hood’ overhauls and fixes, video hosting on the client, new store design and Add-on purchase checks.
You can say that most of the features should have been included in the client right at launch but somehow Epic launched the store without them. However, we can see from the roadmap that Epic has big plans in store for the client and once all the modern features arrive in the store, fans will have a similar-to-Steam experience while using Epic Games Store.
In the roadmap, Epic Games has also listed some features which are more than six months away and some even yet to be announced. These features include multi-language support, game gifting and even an Android Store.
You can check out the detailed roadmap on the official post on Trello. It seems like Epic is planning to add a lot more features to its digital store soon. With more and more AAA titles making their way to the store, it makes sense that Epic is planning to bring more features to the client.
