How to Fish in Far Cry 6
Fishing is not a hard task in Far Cry 6, but it certainly requires a little bit of practice. Your fishing rod is unlocked fairly quickly in the game however for a tackle box and upgrading your lines and lures, you have to wait a little bit as the fishing post upgrades are not available until you reach the main island and have access to a Guerilla camp. Also, make sure that you wear fishing gloves as they will help you reel in the fish quickly.
There are various fishing spots marked on the map and even if a fishing spot is not marked on the map, chances are that there will be some fish in most of the sea around Yara. Pick a place that suits you and cast your line. Once a fish bites, you will be notified, and you will then have to hook the fish and then finally reel them in. While reeling them in, you need to make sure that you are not breaking your line otherwise the fish will escape.
To facilitate you, the line will change colors according to how much tension is currently on the line. Green means that you do not have to worry about anything. Yellow also means that the tension is high but it can still sustain some more tension however if it turns orange, it means that the tension is high, and pulling it further will break the line so at this point you must release and let the fish pull the line until the tension is released.
