Developer Chronos Unterhaltungssoftware and publisher astragon Entertainment have announced that their fiery release Firefighting Simulator – The Squad is heading to Nintendo Switch later this year. After its console debut at the end of last year, it is now finally coming to the flagship Nintendo console as well where players will be able to take their firefighting skills anywhere they go. The developers have released a brand-new trailer showcasing the game running on a Nintendo Switch system. Check it out below:
One of the main things that we talked about while discussing a Nintendo Switch release is the downgrade in the visuals of the game. Judging from the trailer above, the visuals certainly look lower in quality when compared to the PS5 version of the game, but it does not look that bad altogether. Since fires requires plenty of GPU power, the trailer does look a little bit choppy as well when it comes to frames, but we will get to know for sure when the game releases and we get to play it.
The Nintendo Switch release will include more than 40 missions where you will get to fight against the fire solo or with up to three other friends in co-op multiplayer. The solo mode replaces them with AI members, so this is essentially a group-based title. It will include five officially licensed firefighting vehicles by Rosenbauer America such as the TP3 Pumper and the T-Rex Articulating platform. The intuitive command interface will allow you to give commands to your teammates as you work together to extinguish fires and save people from the flames.

Firefighting Simulator – The Squad is releasing on Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2023.
