Games Pre-loading Feature Available Now on Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass has quite a big catalog of multiplatform and Microsoft exclusive games. Microsoft published or Xbox One exclusive games release on Xbox Game Pass at release day. However, they miss out on pre-loading feature.

Pre-loading of Xbox Game Pass games was much requested since long. Just recently, when Forza Horizon 4 became available free as a part of Xbox Game Pass, it became available to download only on the day of release.

Fans always wondered if the pre-loading feature is tied only if you buy a game. Microsoft has finally listened to the requests and have announced that pre-loading feature will become available very soon for Xbox Game Pass games.

Mike Ybarra, corporate vice president at Xbox, confirmed on Twitter that pre-loading Game Pass games is now a possibility. He mentioned that the feature will kick start with Crackdown 3.

Mike Ybarra used Crackdown 3 as an example for pre-loading feature. Crackdown 3 pre-load is available right now on PC and Xbox One. The file is small as of now but it the pre-load feature sure works, as confirmed by Mike.

Xbox Game Pass has currently over 100 free games lying in its vault. The monthly subscription costs $10 USD per month. If you want to try it first, you can get a 14-day free trial.

The service charges are  £7.99/$10 USD for a month subscription. If you are currently subscribed to the service then you have access to Microsoft’s Play Anywhere games, both on Xbox One and PC. Meaning, for one, if you are a member of the service in the month of October, you can play Forza Horizon 4 free either on Xbox One or on PC.

Xbox Game Pass is growing since launch, in terms of game library and player base subscribing the service. Only if PC users could get a similar service like Xbox Game Pass or the service itself, the player base will increase two fold for sure.
