How to Use Guiding Wind in Ghost of Tsushima

Guiding Wind is essentially a mechanic in Ghost of Tsushima that will allow you to find your objectives and markers in the open-world. To put it simply, Guiding Wind is essentially a gust of wind that will help you find your way. There are two ways by which you can summon the Guiding Wind. One of them is automatic and every time when you exit the menu, a wind will blow that will point you to the direction.

However, for your convenience, there’s also a manual way of summoning the Guiding Wind if you are lost. To summon it manually, you simply have to swipe up on your DS4’s Touchpad. This will summon the Guiding Wind that will give you a general idea of the direction where you have to go. This works best if you simply open the map, select a waypoint on the map and then use the wind to reach that waypoint. This is the simplest and minimalistic navigation mechanic that we have seen in any game to date.
