Ubisoft’s latest open-world shooter Ghost Recon Breakpoint did not perform really well upon its launch and even Ubisoft agreed with it. After listening to community feedback, the developer decided to give the title a brand new overhaul and release it in the form of a massive title update v1.1.0. This Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s overhaul update was originally scheduled to release on December 18, 2019, however, Ubisoft has now pushed the update into 2020.
Announced via the official Ubisoft forums, Community Manager at Ubisoft announced that the title update will now be released in the second half of January 2020 which means that we still don’t have a confirmed release date. We might get another delay in the much-awaited patch if things don’t work out according to Ubisoft’s plan for the game. This decision was made after consideration with the development team currently working on Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Our goal is to deliver you polished content and meaningful bug fixes, to do that we need a little more time. This means that the Terminator Live Event and the fixes referenced in the monthly update will be coming to you in the new year.
Since Ubisoft is taking its sweet time working on the overhaul of Ghost Recon Breakpoint, we can expect major changes in the upcoming patch. The game is in pretty bad shape in its current form and let’s hope it does not end up like EA’s Anthem. Ghost Recon Breakpoint currently feels like a broken version of Ghost Recon Wildlands however with Ubisoft hard at work, we can expect some good changes in the coming update.
