Google Stadia Pro Is Kicking Off This November, Games and Details Announced

Google has finally announced more details on its upcoming streaming service Google Stadia and it is launching the paid version of the service called Google Stadia Pro this November. Initially revealed as both paid and free version, Google will release the paid version of the service first and it will include bonuses for the early adopters of the service.

The paid version of the service is called Stadia Pro and this is the only version that will offer 4Km 60 FPS and HDR streaming. The free version of Google Stadia will arrive later and it will come with much fewer features when directly compared with the Pro version. Pro version subscribers will get discounts on all game purchases which means that games are not free for the users.

The service will offer free games for the users occasionally starting with Destiny 2 and its brand new Shadowkeep expansion. Apart from the free games, subscribers will need to purchase to add games to their account which can be streamed later at any time. Free users will pay full price for the games. Similar to PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold, the free games given to users will only be accessible as long as users remain subscribers of Stadia Pro.

Google also revealed the list of the games which will be available to Google Stadia users when the service goes live later this year. You will find the list of the games below along with their publishers below.

Google will reveal more games and details about Stadia such as more games coming to the platform from publishers such as EA, Rockstar Games and Capcom on E3 2019 next week. The free version of Stadia will arrive sometime in 2020 and will support 1080p with 60FPS. Free users will also pay full price for all game purchases.

Google Stadia Pro will be available to pre-order today. It is called Founder’s Edition of Stadia and will cost you $129.99 but it will come with a lot of goodies. The complete package includes a limited-edition Stadia controller, ChromeCast Ultra and a 3-month subscription to Google Stadia Pro along with another Stadia Pro subscription which can be gifted to a friend.

Coming to the controller, Google Stadia’s controller is not included in the normal package. It will be available for sale separately and will cost $69. This specific controller is not required to play Stadia as the platform will come with keyboard and mouse support. Along with this, the platform will also support a large number of other controllers which are already available in the market. The official Stadia controllers will come in black, wasabi green and white.

Google Stadia Pro will support Chrome as a browser and will run on all Operating Systems which include Windows and Mac. Linux is not confirmed at this point. All TVs with ChromeCast Ultra are also supported. Support for more platforms will be added in the future. Right at launch, the Stadia Pro service will come out in 14 different countries including

More countries will be added to the service in 2020. Google also recommends that to enjoy the service like it is meant to be, at least 10 MB connection is required which does not sound like a lot of speed. For slower connections, the service will automatically scale down games to 720p to ensure that the experience is optimum. For 4K streaming, you must have a strong 35MB connection.
