Polyphony Digital has just released a new Gran Turismo Sport Update v1.28. The update that came out today features 8 new cars, an iconic Japanese race track, new GT League events and new scapes scenes.
A September Update was speculated among fans as a new update usually drops at the end of every month. Last month, an update for August released several cars and the Redbull Ring track plus a lot of events to keep the game fresh.
Now that the September update v1.28 is live, let’s dive into the details of the contents that come within the update.
Gran Turismo Sport – New Cars

- Dodge viper SRT10 Coupe 2006
- Honda NSX Type R 1992
- Mazda RX500 1970

Gran Turismo Sport – Fuji Speedway Track Details
Fuji Speedway needs no introduction as it has already made its debut in the previous Gran Turismo titles starting from Gran Turismo 4, and continues to be one of the fastest and dangerous circuits in the world.
The track features beautiful landscapes surrounding it from all corners as it sits in the foothills of Mount Fuji. It has one of the longest straights (1.475km) and has featured a number of FIA races over the years namely; Super Formula, Le Mans Prototype 1, Super GT500, Super GT300, Formula 3, LM GTE etc.
It is also known to have hosted Formula 1 races over the year from 1976 t 1987, and again in 2007 and 2008.
Gran Turismo Sport – New GT League Events
The additions of more GT League events into the game via new updates is now following a the usual pattern. Not that we are complaining, three new Gt League events have also been added:
- The Passion of Dr. Wankel – Beginners League
- Real Circuits Tours – Amateur League
- Group 1 Cup – Professional League
Gran Turismo Sport – Additional Updates
New rounds have been added to the following events: Stars & Stripes (Beginner’s League), J Sport Meeting (Amateur League), Mercedes AMG Grand Prix (Professional League), and the Gr.3 Endurance Series (Endurance League).
SCAPES
“Fuji Speedway” will be added to the special featured section.
CIRCUIT EXPERIENCE
“Red Bull Ring” will be added to the “Circuit Experience.”
