CD Projekt Red has announced a brand new expansion Master Mirror for its card-battler Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. The fifth expansion will release across PC, iOS, and Android on June 30, 2020. Apart from the release of the new expansion, players will also find some cool pre-order offers in the in-game store which are detailed further below in this news feature.
The new Master Mirror expansion will add 70 new cards to Gwent which are all themed after the shadowy, powerful influence of Gaunter O’DIMM, the Master Mirror. The cards will depict his role in key events in the Continent’s history as well. Among these cards, you will find certain faction-specific ones, including a brand new Legendary card type which evolves in both appearance and power as the battle progresses.
You will also get access to 11 new Neutral cards which can be used across all Gwent factions. New statues and new abilities will also be introduced in the new Master Mirror expansion which will bring with them a brand new set of tricks and strategies that you can take advantage of and turn the tide of the battle. With the release of Master Mirror expansion, different pre-order offers are also now live on the Gwent in-game store. These packs will grant players access to their new cards with a unique Gaunter O’DIMM leader skin along with a Master Mirror inspired cardback and title also in certain packs. All of these pre-order items will be available to the players right after the purchase even will the expansion officially arriving later this month. Gwent was recently released on Steam.
