Microsoft has announced today that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be coming to the PC, and players can be able to get it from Steam. The bundle which was previously launched for the Xbox One includes Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4.
It was previously speculated that an announcement for the release of the bundle was ‘very close’ for PC players, and now that Microsoft has confirmed the news, it is only a matter of time when it will be launching.

Having said that, Halo: The Master Chief Collection will not be released all at once, and is planned to come out in stages. The games will be sold individually, in chronological order, starting with Halo: Reach and ending at Halo 4.
Today we’re extremely excited to share two big announcements that deliver on what are easily the most frequently requested asks from our community over the last few years: First, Halo: Reach is being added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) and second, the entire collection is coming to PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam! This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us to bring the Halo Universe and Master Chief’s story to a new audience and to offer PC gamers a chance to step into the franchise on the PC platform of their choice.
The release dates have not yet been confirmed for any of the games coming individually, however, Halo: Reach is expected to come out this year. Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and the rest of the games will be following after. According to Microsoft, this is to give the development teams the ability to ensure one is right, while giving players a change to jump in right away, rather than having to wait for the entire suit of games to be completed.
For those who have the Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One and feel left out for not having Reach can rest assured. Reach’s multiplayer components, including the Forge and Theater modes will be added to the Xbox version for free, with the Campaign and Firefight modes coming later as premium add-ons.
In addition to no confirmation of any release dates, the pricing of the games are not confirmed as well. But the game is going to be released via Steam, as it already has its own Steam store page.
