How to Increase Rank in Psychonauts 2

This guide will show you how you can increase your Rank in Psychonauts 2, which is done by collecting Intern Credits as you progress in the story. The more quickly you collect Intern Credits, the faster you will increase your rank.

Reaching the highest Rank 102 can only be done by completing the game 100%. This means you have to pick up all different types of collectibles as you play in each new area.

So now you know that you need Intern Credits, but it raises the question of how to get these credits in the first place. The best way you can earn Intern Credits is to find and obtain all the collectibles the game has to offer. This will have you exploring every corner in each new area but is necessary if you want to achieve the highest rank.

There are various types of collectibles, from Figments and PSI Challenge Markers to collecting Nuggets of Wisdom and the Emotional Baggage. Nuggets of Wisdom are obtained from NPCs highlighted with a golden icon over them. Though these are rare, having a keen eye spot a character with the Nugget of Wisdom will give you that extra push needed to rank up

Another way to increase your rank or to boost it is by combining Psi Core with Psi Challenge Cards at the Otto-Matic vendor. Psi Challenge Cards can be found all throughout Motherlobe. Finding all the nine challenge cards and then combining them with a Psi Core from the vendor will give you Intern Credits.

Lastly, you can collect tons of Figments. These are found scattered all around the areas you explore, filling up the meter as you collect more. Once you have the whole meter filled up with Figments collected, you get an Intern Credit. Though this does not yield a lot, it is a decent way to get a single credit.
