Intel has been releasing F variants of the 8th and 9th generation CPUs without the integrated graphics in order to keep up with the demand. We have already seen a couple of variants and now we have spotted the Intel Pentium G5600F which as similar specifications when compared to the G5600 but without the integrated graphics.
The chip is going to be based on the 14nm++ process and the Coffee Lake architecture. It will come with 2 cores and 4 threads and will have a clock speed of 3.9 GHz. This is an entry-level dual-core chip, so you can expect to get it for under $100. Other features include 4MB L3cache and support for DDR4-2400 memory.
The Intel Pentium G5600F is going to be compatible with the LGA 1151 socket and should work with existing 300 series motherboards. There is little that we know about the release date but it is expected that these CPUs will be released in a few months keeping in mind that it has been almost a year since the G5600 was released.
If you are on a budget and need something for 1080p gaming then the Intel Pentium G5600F might just be the right option for you. Remember that this chip does not come with integrated graphics, so you will need a dedicated graphics card in order to play games or do anything else.
Cutting down the graphics part might be one way of dealing with the situation but Intel does need to release 10nm chips soon. AMD has already announced 7nm chips that will be coming out later this year and the AMD Radeon VII graphics card is already based on the 7nm process.
Let us know what you think about the Intel Pentium G5600F and whether or not this is something that you might be interested in getting for yourself.
