It is no secret that Intel is going to release discrete graphics for PC gaming in 2020. It is working on hiring people from the industry in order to do so and keeping in mind that the graphics solutions will be announced next year, it is more than likely that the cards are in advanced development stages. A new initiative from Intel suggests that the GPU brand will be called Odyssey.
The Intel gameplay site now has a registration page where people can register to the Odyssey initiative which is described as follows:
The Odyssey is built around a passionate community, focused on improving graphics and visual computing for everyone, from gamers to content creators. And we want voices like yours to help guide us. We’re committed to listening to the community, and in return you will get closer to the inner workings of visual technology development than ever before.
Odyssey could be Intel’s answer to GeForce of Radeon but we do not know for sure. This could be some kind of community that Intel is trying to make. The registration page further mentions the following:
The Odyssey is about how we’ll work together to build the visual computing solutions you really want. You also have the opportunity to receive the Intel Gaming Access newsletter which gives gamers a VIP pass to killer deals and freebies, preferred beta access, the latest gaming news, and more.
If this is something that you are interested in then you can register by going to the official site. The discrete graphics are going to take their time and I doubt that we are going to learn anything new about then this year. So, stay tuned for more information and news regarding Intel Odyssey and these upcoming discrete graphics cards.
The Intel Pentium G5600F has been spotted. This CPU has similar specifications compared to the Intel Pentium G5600 but does not come with integrated graphics.
