Publisher and developer Raw Fury has announced the release date for its upcoming micro-management game Kingdom Eighties. Kingdom Eighties is the newest title in the long-running Kingdom franchise, and it is slated for release on PC via Steam on June 26, 2023. If you are interested in trying out the game before its full release, a free demo will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest which runs from June 19 to June 26, 2023. Kingdom Eighties is a love letter to the nostalgic days of summer camps, riding bikes, and sitting around in your pajamas in front of the TV on Saturday mornings. In the game, you will step into the shoes of the Leader, a young camp counselor who must protect the town from the relentless attacks of mysterious Greed. On your journey, you will be joined by new friends who will lend their skills and help you out on your quest including the Champ, the Tinkerer, and the Wiz.
Apart from your friends, you will be able to recruit the neighborhood kids and assign them roles like soldiers, and builders, use coins to build and expand your kingdom and fortify it by raising walls and defensive turrets. You will explore your new urban surroundings to unlock new mounts, discover mighty weapons and tech upgrades, and manage your resources wisely to survive. However, all of this must be done before the night falls because as it becomes dark, the Greed will attack without mercy and if you lose your crown, the whole town is doomed.
