Dontnod Entertainment has released the schedule of the remaining episodes of Life is Strange 2 and it seems like the game will take a long time. The first two episodes of the episodic game are out with the second episode releasing back in January 2019. The remaining three episodes are slated to release in the next months with the last one coming out at the end of the year.
The long schedule for the release might not appeal to all fans because this will extend the game to a complete year because the first episode of the title was released back in September 2018. It is not common for episodic games to take some time in development but this seems to take a really long time as the gap between the episodes is pretty long.
The schedule was released through Twitter on the official account of Life is Strange 2. You can check it out below.

According to the schedule, the next episode of the title is slated to release on May 9 with the fourth on August 22 and the final episode on December 3. There is a huge gap between the fourth and the fifth episode of the game stretching the game to the entirety of 2019.
The main problem with such a huge long gap means that players lose interest in the game when the story is so much fragmented. Players will certainly jump in other titles in between and will forget the context of most of the things happened in the previous episode when they start the new chapter after such a long time.
If I consider myself in this scenario, I always play episodic video games when the disc version is released or the full game is out on the digital stores. It helps me to enjoy the complete story without losing anything in the context of the game world and its characters. If I play a game in episodes, I always end up forgetting character names and what they were doing in the previous episodes.
