How to Get Bad Ending
To get the bad ending of Man of Medan, you have to make sure that you keep some conditions in mind. This includes making certain choices for the characters that lead to this worst ending. To start things off, and in the early part of the gameplay, there will come a point where Conrad will want to escape with the fishermen’s boat. You have to make sure that Conrad does not leave with the boat, as this will allow him to come back with the coast guard, and also change the outcome of the ending you are wanting to achieve.
The other things you have to do is to find out the name of the ship. This is the key in getting the worst ending as the military does not want their secret to be exposed. Get the clues that lead to the name of the ship, which is the Ourang Medan.
During the later stages of the game, you will have to option to radio for help. If you successfully power the radio on and make contact with the military, you have to make sure that the name of the ship is revealed to the military. This will happen when some other character says the name of the ship. Though this may seem like it is leading to a happy ending, it is in fact far from it.
In the final stages of the game, you have to make sure that you destroy your last means of escape, and that is the Distributor Cap. This item is the only way you can escape with the boat. Let the Distributor Cap be destroyed when Olson is chasing you during the end part of the game.
