How to Calm Down Junior and Save Julia
Near the end of the game, Julia will go down to check on the generator and fix it. Accompanying her would be Alex or Brad depending on your choices. As they are nearing the generator, they will come face to face with Junior who is the fisherman who captured them and brought them on the ship but now he has completely lost it.
The bad part about this is that he is holding a gun and if you are not ready to calm him down, he will shoot Julia and kill her instantly. If you are going for the best ending of the game in which everyone survives, you cannot let that happen. To do this, you must be ready to tackle the situation. Essentially, you must give him a rebreather which is the same one that you find in the chapter Depths. Make sure that you complete the quick-time events that appear after you obtain it because you will need to complete at least one QTE to ensure that the rebreather stays with you. Now, while heading down to the generator room, you must ensure that you go down with the rebreather.
