Right after you start the game, all of these superheroes are locked and you have to unlock all of them before you can use them in multiplayer. Unlocking Super Heroes in Marvel’s Avengers

Unlocking different superheroes is locked to the singleplayer campaign of the game. So if you want to unlock all of the superheroes, you will first need to jump in the singleplayer campaign of the game until you unlock your favorite superhero or all of the superheroes. We’ve listed below all of the superheroes and how you can unlock them in the game. To change your superhero, make sure that you have completed the Iron Man’s HARM room introductory mission.

Black Widow

Black Widow can be unlocked after the completion of the singleplayer campaign mission ‘To Stand Alone’. Keep playing the singleplayer campaign until you complete this mission and Black Widow will be unlocked for you at the War Table.

Captain America

If Captain America is your favorite superhero then you are in for a tough-luck because unlocking Captain America is going to take a long time in the game. Similar to other superheroes, Captain America is also linked with singleplayer story progression however you will be quite near the end of the game to finally unlock him. Just keep playing the story and when you complete the story mission ‘Testing…1…2..3’, you will finally unlock Captain America as a playable character in the game.

Iron Man

After Ms. Marvel and The Hulk, Iron Man is the third character that you unlock in Marvel’s Avengers. After completing the Snowy Tundra mission, you are introduced to the HARM room where you can play and practice with different superheroes to get used to their abilities and also complete some challenges. The very first HARM room challenge which also serves as the introduction to the HARM room is played with Iron Man. Simply complete this tutorial HARM room challenge and you will get to the mission House Call where you can finally unlock Iron Man to use as a superhero in multiplayer.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel is one of the earliest characters that you play with in the game and also one of the first ones to unlock. After you complete the prologue mission, you get to play as The Hulk and Ms. Marvel. However, to really unlock Ms. Marvel as a character, you have to continue playing the singleplayer campaign until you reach the mission Snowy Tundra and complete it.

This is one of the earliest missions in the game so you will not have to wait much before you unlock Ms. Marvel to use in the multiplayer.

The Hulk

Alongside Ms. Marvel, The Hulk is also one of the first characters that you are able to unlock in Marvel’s Avengers and this is essentially a really good superhero as well. Similar to Ms. Marvel, keep playing the singleplayer campaign and once you complete the mission Snowy Tundra, you will unlock The Hulk along with Ms. Marvel to use in multiplayer.

Thor

Thor is unlocked in the singleplayer after quite a good amount of progression. There is not much you can do here but to simply keep playing the singleplayer campaign. Once you reach the mission ‘Once An Avenger’, complete the mission and you will finally unlock Thor in the multiplayer.

Switching Super Heroes in Marvel’s Avengers

Switching to your favorite superhero in Marvel’s avengers is really easy however make sure that you have first completed the introductory HARM room challenge as Iron Man. Once complete, all you need to do to change to your favorite superhero is head to the War Table, look at the bottom of the screen where you will find the option to change your superhero and select it. Now, choose your favorite unlocked superhero. Make sure that you have unlocked the superhero first or you will not find them on the list.
