All In! Games and Ovid Works have just revealed a new CGI trailer of Metamorphosis, which is a game inspired by the story of the same name by Franz Kafka. The game is set to release this summer on consoles and PC.
The new CGI trailer gives the viewer a glimpse behind what Ovid Works has imagined, inspired by the curious imagination of Franz Kafka.
Take a look at the trailer below:

The trailer begins with a grim setting, where your character is bound in a chair, being interrogated or getting ready to be tortured by an evil-looking bug. Only to be cut short by the roof of the area opening up, revealing that the whole scene is taking place in a cardboard box, while a human hand grabs and takes away the evil bug. All the while, we can see the protagonist escape the area outside into the light.
In Metamorphosis you play as Gregor, a man who has morphed into a tiny bug and set out on an extraordinary journey to unravel the mystery of your transformation. Metamorphosis is a first-person adventure based in a surrealist world where your newfound abilities are your last and only hope for redemption.
The game will take you into the world of the bugs, where the protagonist will take the shape of a bug that has to navigate through the world of humans.
Metamorphosis lets players experience
- A bug’s perspective in first person – see the world in a whole new way
- Challenging environmental puzzles – parkour, wall climb, search for clues, and overcome obstacles
- Unique movement mechanics – make full use of your tiny body and sticky limbs
- A story inspired by Kafka’s imagination – meet eccentric characters in a hand-painted world, as you journey through surrealist landscapes towards The Tower
The game is planned for a release this summer for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Post your comments below.
