This item extends your battery life by making it efficient and increases the time it takes the battery to drain. It can be found in a large building which can be accessed from the small shed outside. You have to find a gas canister to power the generator inside, which in turn opens the door to the large building.

Compass

This can be found in a crashed plane that will be northwest in this region. Enter the pilot’s cockpit to collect the compass.

Extended Gas Mask Filter

This can be found from a tiny shack where a researcher has died in trying to study about mushrooms. With this filter you can extend the time of the gas mask filter.

Throwable Ammo Upgrade

There will be many bandits at eh gas station, and you will find throwing weapon harness inside that allows you to carry more Molotov cocktails, knives and grenades.

Metal Detector

This item can be found in a small abandoned and rusty house near a crane that can be attached to help you find more resources in the world.

Night Vision Goggles

This is an item that is vital for the main story progression of the game. you get this as part of a main story mission that involves you to steal a railcar.

The Caspian

This part of the guide contains all the items found in The Caspian:

Armored Gas Mask

There is a canyon north west of the map of The Caspian, where you can get this gas mask. You will have to fight off a few enemies, which will be followed by a ladder falling down to give you access to the cave above. The Armored Gas Mask upgrade will reduce the chances of your gas mask to crack.

Night Vision Scope

This item can be taken before you actually reach The Caspian during the short Yamantau level, where you can also find a Valve single column magazine that can hold up five rounds of heavy ammo.

Extra Bright Light

This item allows you to see better with the extra light that has a wider angle of illumination. However it is in a booby trapped house that is filled with tripwire grenades.

Motion Tracker

This is a pretty good item that helps you in being stealthy, and showing any enemy movement in the direction that you are pointing at. The motion tracker can be found in the ship where you will have to fight enemies to get to the top.

Reinforced Helmet

In the same ship where you found the motion tracker., make your way from the slavers, where you will find this helmet on the first level of the main area. This item is best in absorbing headshots damage.

Increased Consumable Carrying Upgrade

Just to the east from the middle of the map, there is a cave that contains this consumable carrier. This allows you to carry more items like medkits and filters.

Night Vision Goggle NVD upgrade

This item can be found in the main building with the guards that you will have to fight, and then fight a lot of mutant enemies. Once you are done, head to the top floor to get this upgrade.

This item increases your night vision goggles ability and gives you a clearer view than before.
