Metroid Dread Robot Chozo Soldier Boss Guide

Robot Chozo Soldier comes with plenty of attacks that you have to look out for. But you can make this fight pretty easy and manageable with a simple movement technique. Read below how to beat this boss.

How to Beat Robot Chozo Soldier

The Robot Chozo has four main attacks, where two of them come from its arm cannon, while the other two are melee attacks it produces once it is close to you. When you have some distance between the two of you, the boss will fire three blue projectiles with its Triple Shot attack in your location. The projectiles are fired at your last location, so you will have to dodge around them.

The second arm cannon attack is a Fast Beam, which is single-fire long beam shot that is charged for half a second before being released towards you. Again, this is where you have to dodge away, but isn’t anything difficult to manage.

The attacks get more powerful when the boss uses both its melee attacks. These include the Forward Thrust and the Explosive Bow. Both of these attacks are produced when you are close to the boss and are indicated by their small charge up period. As you can expect, these attacks are pretty powerful and damaging if you get it, forcing you to evade them.

The problem with the melee attacks is that you will usually be cornered into a wall, giving you no real option to dodge the attacks. This is where you use one of your most important abilities in the game, Flash Shift. This ability allows you to jump and dash over the boss and land behind it, where you can resume your attacks.

Your attacks should mainly be rockets and your regular shots, continuing the pressure whenever you have some space between the two of you. The Flash Shift ability is pretty fast for the boss to react, who will have to first turn around and get close to you for its melee attacks again. But at this stage, you can pretty much repeat this step of dashing over the boss and attacking until the boss is beaten.
