Below we have detailed how to beat this monster in the game.

How to Beat Mizutsune

The first thing you need to do before you engage in this battle is to stack up on potions, cleansers, and Nullberries. This is because the Mizutsune deals status effects with its attacks that can overwhelm you in the fight. On the other hand, traps and bombs will aid you in trapping the monster in a place for a while or deal extensive damage with a bomb.

Mizutsune has a few attacks that it will throw at you, where each has its own powerful effect. One of the main attacks will include its claws that it raises in the air to strike you. You can avoid this attack by dodging to either side, but if it raises both arms at the same time, the attack will deal damage in a radius.

The other attack is with its tail, which hits pretty quickly and has a long-range. The best way to avoid it is to jump towards the monster to avoid it. This is because if even if you up, the tail is long enough to catch you with the hit.

Mizutsune mixes the attack when it shoots a water beam from the mouth which it uses to shoot at you. This is a very powerful attack that also lasts for quite a while. The attack can also take out aerial targets, which means your best chance to avoid it is to take cover.

In one of the attacks, the monster produces bubbles that allow it to move faster, or throw these as projectiles. The bubbles carry different effects depending on their color, but if you get caught in one, you might have a slight movement increase. Hit with the bubble again will cause you to slip around, slightly losing control of your movement.

Breaking Mizutsune’s head will give you parts, but you are more in control if you hit the back of this monster as it is the weak point. Alternatively, you can also break the monster’s claws to reduce its damage output.
